7 Reasons to Rent a Stroller from Kingdom Strollers on Your Next Disney World Vacation

If you are planning a trip to Disney with children of a certain age, you will want to put some serious thought into transportation within the parks. Serious thought.  With all of the planning you have to do, let me make this decision an easy one for you. Here are seven reasons why you should rent a stroller from Kingdom Strollers:

  • You’re kids will get tired and they will want to stop walking.  I specifically picked the Double Elite because it was large enough to accommodate my six year old.  Big boy that he is, after a long day of walking around in the heat, having the time of his life, I was pretty sure he would want to be pushed around, I was right.

  • You will get tired and you will not want to carry your kids who are tired and don’t want to walk (see above).  When you rent a stroller from Disney, you return your stroller as you leave the park.  Upon leaving the park you will need to walk to your tram/train/boat/shuttle which will then take you to the parking lot where your car is located.  When you arrive at your hotel/resort you still need to transport your kids and your baggage from the day to your room.  If you visit more than one of the magical parks in one day….you will have to return and re-rent a stroller at each park. Disney strollers don’t park hop. Tired yet?  Trust me when I say you were tired before you started.  Having the ability to take your stroller with you every step of the way is not a luxury, it is essential.  Especially if you have more than one child.

  • No one wants to sit on hard plastic all day.  Disney rents strollers.  I’d heard they weren’t the most comfortable things in the world, but there is the argument that you won’t have to lug the stroller around in your vehicle/on the buses, etc.   I am frankly baffled at the the strollers that Disney rents to its visitors.  With all of the money that they pour into keeping their parks up to date, I simply don’t understand why they are still renting these strollers.  They are hard plastic, they do not recline and their usefulness outside of toting kids (places to put your other things) is negligible.  Watch these videos and compare for yourself.

  • Your stroller will not fit in your packed car, no matter how hard you try.  I originally thought it would be no big deal to take our single stroller with us in our van, on our trek from Kansas to Florida.  This makes me laugh hysterically now.  With the addition of a roof box we borrowed from a friend we still had barely enough room for the kids once we were packed and ready to roll.  There was no way our stroller would have fit….and it was a single stroller (and not nearly as swank as the stroller we used).

  • Child labor is acceptable within the family unit. What?  The stroller we used is the biggest stroller that Kingdom Strollers rents and yet, it was so easy to push and steer that our six year old could push his siblings around with very little effort.  This stroller glides.  My husband spent the most time with the stroller, especially while I was in conference sessions.  He kept telling me how easy it was to use the stroller, how much he liked it, and how many compliments he got on it because it was obvious that it was easy to use.

  • Disney World Resort is not the only destination in Orlando.  I know, hard to believe.  It took me a few minutes to let that one sink in, too.  But if you visit other destinations in Orlando you will be able to take this stroller with you.

  • Nobody likes bad service, especially on vacation.  The staff at Kingdom Strollers is amazing.  Can I say that a little louder?  AH.MAZE.ING.  I figured this out long before I ever agreed to do a review of their service and their product. It’s the reason I agreed to do the review.  They are a small company and the owners are hands on.  In the true spirit of Disney, your stroller is magically waiting for your when you arrive at your accommodations and, when you are ready to leave, it is magically transported back to Kingdom Strollers where it is cleaned and prepped for its next magical adventure.

I was given a free stroller rental during the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration in exchange for a review of their product and services.  Please feel free to read the actual review as well.  All opinions are my own, I’m way too opinionated to have it any other way.

  1. Hi! I absolutely love that you included a video of the features on the stroller! Thank you so much! I have been searching for in depth info on different features of some of the strollers from different rental places, and your video was AMAZING! I also really like the way you describe everything. We were going to be renting a City Mini double from Baby Wheels, but you just sold us on the Double elite from Kingdom Strollers.

  2. Thank you so much for your comments, Melissa! When I first decided to rent a stroller for our trip, these are the things I wanted to know about, too. I’m so glad you found it helpful. I have no doubt that you will have a great experience and you will LOVE your stroller (and your trip!).
