Earth Shoes, Earth Footwear, Giveaway

I’m becoming a bit of an addict…or at least a snob…when it comes to these Earth Shoes.

This is the third pair of Earth Shoes that I’ve owned now and I can honestly say I don’t think that I even want to bother with other brands.

I used to wear high heels all the time.  On a daily basis…they were just part of my style.

And then I had kids and got old…and my feet no longer tolerated the pressures of wearing high heels for extended periods of time.

And then I got sick this summer… and it became simply a non-issue:  I could no longer wear high heels.  My feet couldn’t take it anymore.

When I was approached with the opportunity to do this post for Earth Shoes, I was asked to pick a couple of styles I would like to try and I would receive one of them.  Not a problem, I like almost ALL of the shoes in the collection.  I picked out one pair that had a higher heel.  I can’t help it.  I LOVE wearing shoes with a higher heel.  I was cautiously optimistic… if I received that pair I was crossing my fingers that they would be okay…. I’ve been so impressed by all of the shoes I’ve worn so far.

Well… I got the Lantana shoes.  The ones with the heels.  The ones I could envision being worn daily with jeans or dressing up with slacks.  IF my feet weren’t in agonizing pain when I put them on.

Guess what?

No pain!

These shoes are like putting on little pillows.  They are designed with a “comfort footbed with multi-density latex cushioning, reinforced arch support and an over-padded heel that helps effectively absorb and displace shock”.  These shoes are the hot boyfriend who likes to cuddle.

So now that we know I can wear them…. what will I wear them with?

I got this snazzy new CAbi Style shirt at BlogHer this year in New York  I’m pretty excited to wear it, even with these plain black slacks.  Perfect for a night out with our Kansas City bloggers group, or to a business meeting during the day.  These shoes add just a splash of color that I’m liking more and more.

Ok, this isn’t the best photo I’ve ever taken.  White shirt on white background?  Nice job, Jenn.  ANYWAY…

Since I like wearing heels with jeans (Aren’t jeans always too long without them?) I was excited to see how well this top I got at Chico’s this summer went with the new Earth Latana shoes. Even with a sweater in the dead of winter this will be a welcome color pop.

And just because I love you so much (and the people over at Earth are so cool) …. I’m hosting a giveaway for one pair of Earth Shoes.  Not THESE Earth Shoes…. these babies are MINE.  But the winner of the giveaway will receive one pair of shoes from Earth.  The exact style will be chosen by the company based on availability.

What do you have to do to win a pair of super comfy Earth Shoes?  Leave me a comment and tell me what your favorite pair of shoes on the Earth Shoes website is.  For an extra entry…. you can tweet about the giveaway with a link to this post….then attach the link to your tweet in a separate comment.  Got that?  1 entry = comment, 2nd entry = new comment with a link to your tweet about my giveaway.  Don’t follow me on Twitter?  Find me @JennHethcoat.

This contest will close at 10pm CST on Monday, October 1st and is open only to people over the age of 18 and are residing in the United States.  I will choose the winner using random.org and I will contact that winner via email.  If you don’t make sure I can access your email address… you won’t win!  You also have to check your email…. because if I don’t hear back from you within 24hrs of hitting “send”… I will sadly pick another winner.

Now.  For the standard disclaimer:  Earth Footwear sent me these shoes.  They are cute and super cushiony, comfy…. and those are MY opinions.  I was asked by Resourceful Mommy Media and Earth Footwear to review these shoes and show you how I would wear them.  I had a picture of me actually wearing these awesome shoes but it just didn’t turn out well.  SuperBoy took that picture of me…using my Nikon D700 …which was actually larger than his face.  No lie.
