Out of the Gate

Here it is… I’m starting a blog! Over the course of the last two months…I have discovered the art of couponing. I am blessed with the opportunity to stay at home and raise my children…and I’m finding any way I can to contribute the financial success of our family.

Between searching for deals and then completing deals…I find myself wanting to share, share, share! EVERYONE should be this lucky! So I talked to my friends, I talked to my family…. and I found that not only did they not think I was a nerd…(or at least they liked the nerdy factor!)… but they wanted to know “how” to do it as well. I find myself retyping the same email over and over…and having the same conversations time and time again. I decided a blog might be the best way to go… share the information with everyone at once!

There are so many great women in the blogosphere that are posting deals and money saving tips…. and I’ve spent a good amount of time researching and reading trying to find those who I believe to be reliable and trustworthy. There is NO USE in reinventing the wheel… so I will use this space to pass on their wonderful information as well as some of my own. You will see many links to information from Crystal at MoneySavingMom , Heather at Freebies4Mom, and Denise at The “Cent”sible Sawyer among many others. Let me post my first of many, many thanks to them for all of their hard work, dedication and all of the fabulous deals they post!

I plan on starting at the “beginning”.. talking about how couponing works…how to work Customer Rewards programs at places like CVS and Walgreen’s… how to gather and use coupons to maximize their potential… and how to change your mindset about shopping deals, clipping coupons and saving money for your family! In between these organizational posts… I will pass along some of the best deals and ideas that I find.

Please feel free to pass on this website to whomever you think might find it useful… if you find deals that I haven’t listed…email me and let me know! Post comments when you find something helpful…or you are just excited and need to share with people who ‘get it’!!

As I move through this adventure I will also grow this website. Currently I am at the bare minimum…and learning a little more every day…. hopefully it will become more aesthetically pleasing as the days go by. Any thoughts or suggestions you have for this will be just as welcome!
