Target Holiday

**EDIT**  I was incorrect when I stated below that Toys R Us is having the B1G1 1/2 off sale on Wii Games….it is actually Hastings.  My gravest apologies!!  I ran out of time at Target tonight when I purchased the games to actually do the price matching…I will go back tomorrow to do so….but I was told by the employees tonight that it should work!

Want to get a jump start on your Holiday shopping?  Target has published their Toy Coupon Catalog for this season…all coupons are good until 11-25-09.  There are some really great ones here that will pair well with their current and upcoming sales!

My favorite deal this week at Target would be on Wii Games.  You’ve undoubtedly visited my other site, The Wii Mommies, (What?! You Haven’t?! Go there NOW!)…. since forming that site and buying our Wii nearly a year ago I’ve become a bit of a fan of the Wii games.  I’m fairly excited to try Wii Sports Resort and the soon to be released SuperMario Brothers… but at $50 a game they are a Wii bit expensive for me (have pity on my pun …it IS 4:30 in the morning!)

This week Target has a sale on Wii Games that are $50 or less: Buy 2, Get 1 Free!  Excellent, right?  Well….Toys R Us has a sale also… Buy 1, Get 1 1/2 off.  Since Target now price matches you SHOULD be able to get one of the two you purchase for the Target deal at 1/2 price.  SHOULD.  Pair that with the $10/2 Wii Games coupon in the link above and you have effectively lowered the price of each game to $20!

Don’t want 3 games?  Don’t want to spend $60?  Find two other friends who want Wii games and go in on the deal together!

The Tag Readers at Target are priced at $39.99.  In the Holiday Toy Coupons you will find a Target coupon for $10/1 Tag Reader… you can pair that with a $10/1 Manufacturer’s coupon HERE or HERE (this one is a PDF) and get the Tag Reader for $20.  My kids have one of these and actually fight over who gets to use it!

Also don’t forget that Toys R Us has Leap Frog Tag Books on sale for $9.99.  Buy them there…or at Target and have them price match and use this $5/1 coupon or this $3/1 coupon.  You can get the books for as low as $4.99 instead of their normal $13.84!

I haven’t tried this particular deal w price matching at Target, I plan to go tonight or tomorrow night. I have done the price matching at Target and it’s slightly tedious. You have to checkout regularly and then go to Customer Service, with your print ad you want to match (MUST have the print ad, store ad on your iPhone doesn’t work ;) ). They manually adjust the price and refund the difference + applicable tax. In a situation like this, however, the amount of money to be saved is worth it!

We got the BigBook in our papaer but also a local ad for the week. If you have a store nearby I would contact themabout this week’s sales.
